Artificial Intelligence for Public Governance
AI4GOV is a European project that strengthens advanced digital skills in the public sector by equipping professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to work with Artificial Intelligence, Data Spaces, and Digital Governance Transformation.
The project supports public administrations in addressing the growing complexity of digital transformation by combining executive education, practical experimentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through a pan-European approach, AI4GOV-X helps prepare professionals to design, manage, and implement more innovative, human-centred, and trustworthy public services.
Consortium
AI4GOV-X brings together a multidisciplinary European consortium composed of 38 organisations from 20 countries, including universities, research institutions, public sector bodies, certification actors, and innovation partners.
This diverse collaboration connects academic excellence, technological development, and public sector practice, creating the conditions to deliver high-level training, foster experimentation, and scale knowledge and innovation across different administrative and national contexts.
Key Activities and Results
For Porto Business School, AI4GOV-X reinforces its role at the intersection of technology, management, and public sector transformation. The project strengthens PBS’s contribution to executive education and applied capacity building in emerging fields that are becoming increasingly critical for institutions, policymakers, and society.
By participating in AI4GOV-X, PBS deepens its involvement in European collaboration networks focused on digital governance, innovation, and societal impact. At the same time, the project supports the School’s mission to translate knowledge into practice by helping prepare public sector professionals to lead digital transformation in a responsible, human-centred, and future-oriented way.

Accreditations
With three international accreditations – AMBA (Association of MBAs), AACSB, and EFMD – Porto Business School is among the top business schools in Europe. In 2023, the school renewed its AMBA accreditation for another five years and obtained accreditation from the BGA (Business Graduates Association), becoming the first Portuguese business school to achieve this recognition.
