Eduardo Marques Pereira, Senior Lead Specialist of Data Science/AI at Deloitte Portugal, is the invited speaker of the seminar: "The complexity to obtain an interpretable explanation in AI systems", an event related to the postgraduate programme in Business Intelligence and Analytics. The event takes place this 21st november, at 18h00.
Concepts such as explainability and interpretability have been used interchangeably and have no common definitions, some forms of AI are not interpretable, context-specific nature impacts explanations, technical ability to deploy explainability might not be straightforward, among other issues, are real constraints under the formulation of the explainability problem in AI systems. This talk aims to discuss how to manage AI explainability.
Eduardo Marques Pereira is a Senior Lead Specialist of Data Science/AI at Deloitte Portugal. He joined Deloitte in December 2017 to guide the efforts to build strong AI-based competencies and solutions in the group of Technology Integration. Eduardo holds a PhD in Computer Vision/Machine Learning through a collaborative program between University of Porto-Portugal and UT Austin-USA.
Eduardo has more than 14 years of professional experience working on several projects in the technical areas of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision and Machine Learning. During his professional career Eduardo had the opportunity to apply AI-based solutions on different domains such as video surveillance, retail, forensic, entertainment, manufacturing, smart environments and financial services.
