Porto Business School continues to drive the employability of its students and alumni

In recent months, Porto Business School has launched several initiatives that bring students and alumni even closer to the job market. May is proving to be a key moment for those looking to make a difference in their careers. This month is filled with initiatives that strengthen the link between talent and industry — through recruitment events, networking opportunities, and insights into emerging tech trends.

Career Development Events with Real Impact

In March, we hosted the Specialized Recruitment Days, which welcomed top recruitment agencies such as Adecco, Manpower, Clan, GI Group, Randstad, Hays and Michael Page — with over 400 students participating.

In April, we took part in the International Global Fair – EFMD, giving students and alumni access to international job opportunities at leading companies. The event gathered more than 100 participants.

In May, we took this connection even further with the Career Summit 2025, which brought together more than 250 students and alumni, along with 26 leading companies, including:

adidas, Amcor Flexibles Porto, BorgWarner, C-MORE, Colep Packaging Portugal, Coloplast Manufacturing Portugal, Corticeira Amorim, CSWind Portugal, DESFO Holding, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Goldenergy, Grupo Casais, Highgate Portugal, Innovayt, Körber Campus Porto, LIDERTEAM, Metyis, Mota-Engil, Mystic Invest Holding, Natixis, Nors, Parfois, PROEF, Sodexo Business Services, Super Bock Group and Voltalia Portugal.

These organisations represent key sectors such as renewable energy, tourism, construction, banking, and industry. Participants were given access to career opportunities and high-value networking with top recruiters.

Next Major Event: Tecmaia Sunset

The next highlight is the Tecmaia Sunset, taking place on 28 May, at the end of the day. This event will bring together tech companies, career opportunities, and insights into emerging trends in the digital and technological landscape.

Confirmed companies include: Synopsys, MediaProbe, ACIN, Critical Manufacturing, adidas and Infineon.

The event will also feature two guest speakers, Teresa Carreiro, Co-founder of Critical and Célio Albuquerque, Vice President of Engineering at Synopsys. They will share their perspectives on leadership in tech and the future of innovation.
