In-demand talent and real career opportunities

The Career Summit highlighted some of the most in-demand job opportunities in today’s market. Participating companies shared openings for:

– Leadership roles

– Finance and engineering professionals

– Project management and consulting

– IT, sustainability, and human resources

These reflect growing trends in strategic hiring across multiple industries.

A hybrid format with global reach

For the first time, the Porto Business School Career Summit was held in a hybrid format, enabling participation from international students enrolled in programs such as the Global Online MBA. This format broadened the scope of engagement, allowing global talent to interact directly with employers.

A key platform for employability and employer branding

“The Career Summit exceeded expectations, bringing together 26 companies and more than 275 students and alumni from Porto Business School,” said Ricardo Carneiro, Career Services Director. “It reinforced our commitment to connecting qualified talent with the job market, creating real career opportunities in an environment that values diversity, accessibility, and growth potential. We are already planning to make this a biannual event to further expand our impact.”
Beyond recruitment, the Summit also served as a strategic employer branding platform, giving companies the opportunity to present their culture, innovation projects, and growth plans to a motivated and highly prepared audience.

Looking ahead: stronger connections between talent and the market

Driven by the success of this edition, Porto Business School is now aiming to host the Career Summit twice a year, reinforcing its position as a key hub for career development, executive education, and employer engagement in Portugal and beyond.
