Her selection highlights the real-world impact of PBS’s approach to leadership development in a rapidly changing global context.

ClimateCAP Fellow Porto Business School: A Global and Competitive Recognition

The ClimateCAP Fellowship is one of the most respected global initiatives for MBA students committed to climate action and sustainable value creation.

Over a 12-month period, Fellows engage in advanced learning sessions with global experts, participate in international networking opportunities, and develop applied climate action projects with public deliverables. Rather than focusing on theory alone, the program emphasizes execution, accountability, and measurable impact.

The 2026 cohort includes students from leading institutions such as Yale School of Management, Columbia Business School, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Being selected alongside peers from these schools underscores the competitiveness and international relevance of this distinction.

What ClimateCAP Represents for Business Education

ClimateCAP has become one of the world’s leading platforms dedicated to integrating climate into management and leadership education.

Founded and led by Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, ClimateCAP was created to ensure that climate change is addressed not as a peripheral topic, but as a core dimension of business strategy. The initiative explores how climate reshapes business models, financial risk, capital allocation, innovation, operations, and talent management.

In addition, ClimateCAP connects students, faculty, and corporate leaders through a global network that promotes applied knowledge, collaboration, and the acceleration of climate-driven solutions.

Porto Business School and the ClimateCAP Partner School Network

The selection of a ClimateCAP Fellow Porto Business School student takes place within a broader strategic framework.

Porto Business School has recently joined the ClimateCAP Partner School Network, a global community of approximately 50 leading business schools committed to placing climate at the center of management education.

As a Partner School, PBS gains access to shared pedagogical resources, international initiatives, and collaborative opportunities with some of the world’s most recognized institutions. This integration strengthens the school’s ability to embed climate perspectives across strategy, finance, operations, leadership, and innovation.

It also expands opportunities for students and faculty to engage with global networks and applied projects with real business relevance.

From Education to Action: Leadership with Climate Impact

Sustainability is no longer optional in business. Today, it directly influences investment decisions, regulatory frameworks, competitiveness, and long-term value creation.

For this reason, leadership education must go beyond technical knowledge. It must develop systems thinking, climate literacy, and the ability to assess both risk and opportunity in complex environments.

By integrating ClimateCAP into its academic ecosystem and by seeing its students recognized at an international level, Porto Business School reinforces its commitment to education with impact. The goal is clear: to prepare leaders who can create economic value while responding responsibly to global environmental and social challenges.

The recognition of a ClimateCAP Fellow Porto Business School student reflects this ambition — and the direction in which PBS continues to evolve.
