Porto Business School’s Global Online MBA has risen to 6th worldwide in the Financial Times Online MBA Ranking 2026, reinforcing its position among the world’s leading business schools in online education. This achievement cements PBS’s status as a world leader in online education, marking it as the only Portuguese institution featured in the ranking among the world’s top-ranked institutions year-over-year.
The 2026 results underscore Porto Business School’s commitment to delivering high-impact education. PBS earned the #1 spot worldwide for Value for Money and #1 for Overall Satisfaction, highlighting a strong return on investment in the program’s design. The career trajectory for PBS alumni remains exceptional, with graduates reporting an average salary increase of 28% three years after graduation. These results are further endorsed by the school’s mastery of Online Interaction (2nd globally), which ensures a deeply collaborative and networked learning environment.
The “Global” designation of the MBA is reflected in the diversity of its cohort. Drawing students from 21 countries across five continents, the program serves as a convergence point for international perspectives. This commitment to diversity is also evident in the program’s gender balance: PBS achieves the highest percentage of female students in the ranking (47%) in the ranking and is the only institution to achieve a 50/50 male-to-female faculty ratio – the highest score possible under the Financial Times gender criteria.
“This recognition reinforces Porto Business School’s ambition to redefine executive education for the AI era,” says José Esteves, Dean of Porto Business School. “Our Global Online MBA is a truly global, AI-first learning experience designed to prepare leaders to navigate complexity, drive transformation and create lasting impact across industries and markets.”
“The Global Online MBA is strengthened by the close relationship we maintain with the business community,” says Rosário Moreira, Program Director of the Global Online MBA at Porto Business School. “We are grateful to the companies that collaborate with us and place their trust in the program by sending their professionals to participate, enriching the learning experience and ensuring participants combine academic rigor with real-world insight.”
PBS continues to set the global standard for the future of management, ranking 3rd globally for ESG and Net Zero Teaching. A hallmark of the program is the ability for participants to personalize their journey through specialized Entrepreneurship and Sustainability tracks. This is delivered within an AI-first MBA approach that seamlessly combines academic excellence, applied innovation, and deep business relevance, preparing leaders to thrive in a world being reshaped by complexity and constant transformation.
With this result, Porto Business School reinforces a distinctive position in global management education: a school from Portugal with the quality, ambition and international vision to educate leaders at the level of the world’s best.
