The Information Resources Centre (CDI) of Porto Business School is pleased to present the “Horizons of Life: Drawing and Painting Exhibition,” featuring works created in the Drawing and Painting course of Universidade Sénior Ser+. The exhibition will be open from March 12 to April 16, 2025. This showcase highlights the dedication and talent of the students, who, under the guidance of Professor Isabel Ferreira da Silva since 2016 and more recently Professor Maressa Balbino, have explored techniques such as watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting.
The exhibited works result from continuous, passionate work in the classroom, serving as a true laboratory of artistic experiences that foster individual and collective expression. Each piece tells a story through colors, brushstrokes, and textures, reflecting the rich diversity of the students’ artistic journey.
Founded in 2016, Universidade Sénior Ser+ stands out as a space for learning, sharing, and growth for the senior community, promoting access to knowledge and culture in an inclusive manner. Located in Senhora da Hora and Matosinhos, the institution plays a vital role in social inclusion, combating loneliness, and promoting active aging by fostering intellectual development, new skills, and friendships.
This exhibition exemplifies the positive impact of Universidade Sénior Ser+ on its students’ lives, offering a platform for artistic expression and continuous learning that also benefits the wider community. By hosting this exhibition, Porto Business School reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility, valuing intergenerational talent and strengthening ties between education, culture, and the community.
