PBS Graduation 2025: Celebrating Faculty Excellence and Impact

Date
25 of July, 2025

On July 17 and 18, Porto Business School hosted the graduation ceremonies for its Postgraduate Programs, Executive Masters, and MBA programs. These ceremonies were more than a symbolic milestone. They marked the culmination of each student’s journey and the transformation made possible by a learning experience built on ambition, purpose-driven leadership, and real-world impact.

Throughout both ceremonies, one thing stood out: what makes the academic experience at Porto Business School truly distinctive. A community committed to excellence, driven by growth, and defined by strong values and leadership. But recognition was not exclusive to the graduates. The Best Faculty Awards were also presented — a special honor made even more meaningful by the fact that it was awarded directly by the students themselves. These awards reflect the school’s deep commitment to teaching quality and to creating an environment where learning leads to tangible, lasting results.

Among the MBA programs, three professors stood out. Teresa Recio Naranjo was named Best Faculty for the International MBA, Filipe Macedo Pinto Grilo received the award for the Digital MBA, and Luís Reis was recognized in the Executive MBA.

Faculty members were also honored across the school’s Postgraduate and Executive Master Programs, covering a wide range of business disciplines. Awards were presented to:

  • Filipe Macedo Pinto Grilo, for the Executive Master in International Business
  • António Murta, for the Executive Master in Tech Leadership and Management
  • Pedro Coelho dos Santos, for the Postgraduate Program in Communication Management
  • Luís Rocha and José Luís Alvim, for the Postgraduate Program in Health Services Management
  • Miguel Brás da Cunha, for the Postgraduate Program in People Management
  • Elísio Brandão, for the Postgraduate Program in Finance and Taxation
  • Pedro Marques Vieira, for the Executive Master in Digital Transformation
  • Paulo Gomes, for the Postgraduate Program in Business Management
  • Carlos Melo Brito, for both the Executive Master in Tourism Management and the Postgraduate Program in Marketing Management

These moments reflect what sets Porto Business School apart in the landscape of executive education: the ability to develop leaders ready to meet the future, the value placed on teaching excellence, and the strength of an academic community built to make an impact.

To everyone who took part in these ceremonies — graduates, faculty, families, and the PBS team — we extend our sincere thanks. Together, we continue to shape futures through excellence.
