Between November and December, Porto Business School welcomed MBA students from EDHEC Business School and IE Business School for two custom-designed International Weeks. These intensive programs combined academic depth, real-world business exposure, and authentic cultural immersion — offering participants a comprehensive understanding of Portugal’s dynamic business ecosystem.
At the heart of these International Weeks is the PBS Dynamic Learning model, which brings students closer to organizational reality through hands-on experiences. Company visits, a key component of this approach, allowed participants to see how leading Portuguese businesses address strategic challenges, implement sustainability practices, embrace technological innovation, and develop new leadership capabilities.
Throughout the academic sessions, discussions, and field visits, students explored topics such as corporate sustainability, digital transformation, global leadership, internationalization, global labor market trends, and career development. This blend of theoretical insight and experiential learning reinforces the mission of Porto Business School: preparing leaders to navigate complex, fast-changing environments with confidence and purpose.
The experience was enriched by cultural activities — including walking tours, culinary workshops, and visits to iconic landmarks in Porto — giving participants a deeper understanding of the region’s identity and of how culture and economy are intertwined.
