Porto Business School hosts seminar on energy transition and intercontinental cooperation
On April 4th at 6:00 PM, Porto Business School will host the seminar “Africa–Europe Dialogue: Synergies for a Sustainable Future”, an initiative promoted by the Innovation X Hub through the Africa Futures Center.
Held in-person and in Portuguese, the event aims to foster strategic dialogue on the role of Africa–Europe cooperation in advancing sustainable energy solutions and integrated development, at a time when the global energy transition demands collective, cross-border action.
Africa–Europe cooperation as a driver of sustainable energy development
As Europe progresses toward carbon neutrality through the European Green Deal, African countries are working to balance economic growth with the need for accessible and sustainable energy.
This seminar will bring together experts, academics, and institutional leaders to explore how deeper Africa–Europe collaboration in the energy sector can support:
- The training of future energy professionals
- The development of clean, affordable technologies
- The formulation of integrated and inclusive energy policies
The role of academia in shaping the future of energy
By highlighting the contribution of business schools and universities, the seminar emphasizes the strategic role that higher education institutions play in driving innovation, fostering knowledge transfer, and developing scalable solutions to regional and global challenges in the energy sector.
