The session will explore the future of electric heavy-duty fleet operations for medium- and long-haul routes, examining both the challenges and opportunities associated with the decarbonization of road transport. One of the key themes of the event will be the electrification of heavy-duty fleets and the regulatory pressures — both European and national — accelerating the decarbonization of road transport.

A highlight of the session will be the presentation of the reference model developed by REMO in partnership with Luís Simões Group. This case study demonstrates how collaboration between companies can accelerate the adoption of electric heavy-duty fleets in logistics operations.
The event will also feature a pilot project developed with the Municipality of Viana do Castelo, aimed at transitioning the city’s bus fleet to more sustainable mobility solutions and broadening the discussion to passenger transport.
