Porto Business School will host “Tourism Intelligence Center Porto and North: Go Live” on July 9. The session will present the project’s results, showcase the platform, and share the next steps for CIT.
This event marks the shift from vision to implementation. It will show how tourism data can support more informed, strategic, and collaborative decisions across the sector.
The session will bring together partners, organizations, and professionals connected to tourism. Therefore it will reinforce the role of tourism intelligence in creating value for destinations, companies, and institutions.
Tourism Intelligence Center Porto and North: from vision to platform
The Tourism Intelligence Center Porto and North was created to address a key challenge in tourism: turning scattered data into useful knowledge.
In an increasingly competitive sector, destinations need clear, integrated, and actionable information. Therefore CIT aims to support better decision-making across the tourism ecosystem.
During the session, participants will learn about the project’s development, strategic framework, and platform demonstration. In addition they will explore the next steps and the invitation for broader ecosystem collaboration.
Data, innovation, and competitiveness in tourism
Tourism intelligence plays an important role in anticipating trends, identifying opportunities, and responding to market challenges.
However the value of data depends on how organizations collect, interpret, and share it. CIT creates a bridge between information, technology, and decision-making.
The “Go Live” session will show how the platform can help the tourism sector access more useful and actionable knowledge. As a result it supports a stronger culture of innovation, competitiveness, and collaboration.
Collaboration agreements
The event will also include the signing of collaboration agreements between Porto Business School, the Portuguese Tourism Confederation, and NEST — Tourism Innovation Center.
These agreements strengthen the ecosystem’s involvement in the consolidation of CIT. In addition they reinforce a shared ambition to promote tourism intelligence, innovation, and competitiveness.
