Smart action is needed in several areas of tourism to better anticipate future shocks, stay ahead of the digital transition, support the move towards a low-carbon economy and promote the structural transformation needed to build a more sustainable economy.

Tourism Observatory

Migratory dynamics in Portugal’s tourism sector reveal a significant increase in the resident foreign population, which plays a key role in the labor market.

This study analyzes the main challenges in attracting and retaining migrant talent, offering practical suggestions to promote more efficient integration in the sector.
