Biography
Alexandra Mendes is a Senior Advisor with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, in highly complex multinational and industrial environments. Her areas of expertise centre on governance, strategy execution, and organisational transformation.
Currently serves as Governance Advisor at IVENS Governance Advisors, advising Boards of Directors and senior executives on governance effectiveness and leadership team development. In addition to her advisory work, she teaches project management and strategy execution. At Efacec Power Solutions, followed a path of progressive leadership — from Senior Strategy Manager to Global PMO. The defining moment was leading a €900M transformation programme with around 2,000 initiatives, in a context demanding strategic vision, cross-functional team leadership, and strong execution under pressure.
Combines the rigour of an engineer, the strategic thinking of a senior executive, and the discipline of a high-performance competitive athlete. She is certified in Project Management by PMI and AI for Leaders from Harvard Business School. Holds an Executive MBA from Porto Business School.
