Biography
Catarina Sousa Santos is an ML Engineer at Sword Health and a PhD candidate in Industrial Engineering and Management at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.
Her doctoral research explores how natural language processing and machine learning can support clinical decision-making in oncology. At Sword Health, she develops generative AI systems for healthcare, including prompt design and context-aware message generation.
Previously, she worked as a researcher on healthcare data analysis and smart stock management projects. She also teaches Python, R, and SQL to corporate professionals.
Catarina holds a Master’s in Bioinformatics and a Bachelor’s in Biology.
