Biography
João Costa Ribeiro is a software engineer turned innovation strategist currently serving as Galp’s Open Innovation Intelligence Lead. Operating at the intersection of foresight and execution, he leverages AI to safely enable Galp’s Innovation team to move its €150M+ innovation portfolio faster from hypothesis to testing, de-risking innovation bets.
An award-winning professor at Porto Business School and the University of Bergen, João possesses a deep interest in the nuances of collaborative intelligence. This led him to pursue a PhD at Dublin City University, where he leads the DART Research program (Dynamics of AI in Research Translation).
