Biography
José Teles Dias da Silva was born in Mafamude – Vila Nova de Gaia, in 1964. He completed his studies in Economics in 1987 and in 1992/1993 he took an MBA in Commercial Management Engineering at IEP/ESAD. He soon discovered his passion for the world of wine and began his career in this field at Osborne Portugal, SA, where he was CEO from 1988 until 2000. From 2000 to 2004 he was hired by Natureza SGPS as CEO of three companies: J.W. Burmester & Cª, SA, Quinta Nova Nª Srª do Carmo and Barrancarnes, SA. In 2005 he joined Niepoort Vinhos, SA as Managing Director, moving to the Board of Directors in 2018.
