Biography
Born in 1966, he has a degree in Law from the Catholic University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Administration from the Collége d’Europe in Brugge, Belgium, specializing in lobbying. He was General Secretary of ANDOVI – National Association of Wine Designations of Origin, which brings together the Portuguese Demarcated Regions, and president of this association. He was a member of the Interprofessional Council of the CIRDD and the Douro and Port Wines Institute and secretary general of ANCEVE. He was vice-president of CEPV, the European Professional Wine Council. He was elected President of the CVRVV in 2000, a position he still holds. He is also a member of the Consultative Council of the Vine and Wine Institute.
