Biografia
Oliviero Roggi specializes in corporate finance, valuation, risk management and corporate governance, with a recent focus on Sustainable Finance and ESG Risks. He is currently Professor of Finance and Risk Management at the Dom Cabral Foundation and Professor of Finance at the University of Catania (Italy); recently, he has been responsible for the “ESG Finance and Risk” start-up project at the FDC and President of The Risk Banking and Finance Society. Roggi began his career at the University of Florence, remaining until 2021 in different roles and responsibilities. From 2016 to 2019, he was Professor of Finance at the Getulio Vargas Foundation EAESP in São Paulo (Brazil). Before moving to Brazil, he was Visiting Professor of Finance at NYU STERN School of Business in 2011-12. Oliviero is also President of The Risk Banking and Finance Society. Before joining NYU Stern, Prof. Roggi obtained his tenure as Associate Professor at the University of Florence, teaching Advanced Corporate Finance, Valuation and Corporate Capital Structure. From 2010 to 2013, he was appointed Short-Term Consultant in the Environment, Social and Governance Department of the IFC World Bank Group, leading the European Team in the “Risk Management for Boards of Directors” project. Professor Roggi is co-founder, together with Prof. Edward Altman, of the International Risk Management Conference run by the RBF. In recent years, the RBF has become a point of reference for risk management.
