Biography
Patrícia Gomes is a Coordinator Professor of Public Accounting at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), where she is also Director of the Research Centre on Accounting and Taxation (CICF).
She holds a PhD in Accounting (University of Minho, 2011) and a Habilitation in Management (ISEG, 2023). Her research focuses on public accounting, accountability, performance, and digitalization, with 30+ publications in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
Patrícia serves on the editorial and scientific committees of several international journals and conferences, and regularly reviews for leading publications in her field. She also teaches and supervises PhD students in Accounting, and coordinates postgraduate programs in public sector accounting (IPSAS-based).
Previously, she was Vice-President of IPCA (2011–2021), leading initiatives in quality assurance, research, and digital transformation in higher education.
