Biography
Paulo holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, and is currently Data Science & Analytics Manager at BA Glass (Portugal). From 2012 to 2022, he worked at bp in London, leading projects from real-time drilling and cementing data models to the development of bp’s digital twin for producing assets.
He also lectured Drilling Engineering in the MSc in Petroleum Engineering (Galp & Heriot-Watt University partnership) and is a Council Member of the Ambassador’s Network for the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Foundation.
