Biography
He has a degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Business Sciences (specializing in Finance) and an Executive MBA from Porto Business School. With over 20 years’ professional experience in public institutions supporting business development, he began his professional career at IAPMEI – Instituto de Apoio à Pequenas e Médias Empresas e ao Investimento, as an Investment Analysis Technician. He worked at API – Agência Portuguesa para o Investimento, EPE, where he first worked in the area of Context Costs, later taking on the role of coordinating the Incentive Verification Team. For 10 years, he was Director of the SME Directorate at AICEP – Agência para o Investimento e Comércio Externo de Portugal, EPE, responsible for relations with Portuguese SMEs in support of their internationalization processes. He was also an advisor to AICEP’s Board of Directors. Since July 2017, he has been Assistant to the Secretary of State for Internationalization – XXI and XXII Constitutional Governments.
