Biografia
Osário Moreira holds a PhD in Business Sciences, a Master’s in Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the School of Economics and Management, University of Porto. Since 1996, she has been a Professor at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Porto, teaching courses in Optimization, Logistics and Operations, Accounting and Management Control, and Quality Management. She has also taught Logistics and Operations Management in postgraduate programs at Porto Business School since 2006.
Her experience includes guest lectureships in International Operations Management for Santander Bank’s short courses (2012 and 2013) and Project Management training for municipal executive teams in Northern Portugal (2010–2012). She conducts research across a range of management disciplines, including Optimization, Operations Management, Lean, E-commerce, Innovation, Internationalization, and Quality Management. She has published extensively in internationally renowned journals, including International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, International Journal of Computational Science and Engineering, and Innovation: Organization & Management.
Rosário has played a significant role in organizing several international academic conferences, such as EIBA 2010 (European International Business Academy), the XVIII Jornadas Luso-Espanholas de Gestão Científica (2008), and OPTIMIZATION 2007. She has also presented at numerous high-profile scientific events, including APDIO (Portuguese Operational Research Society) Congresses, EURO (European Conference on Operational Research), and EUROSIS (European Simulation and Modelling Conference).
She currently serves as the Director of the Bachelor’s in Management program, Secretary of the Scientific Council of the School of Economics and Management, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the FEP’s Master in Management.
