Biography
Rui Rodrigues is the founder and CEO of Symplifyr, a technology startup focused on intelligent automation and enterprise service management. Prior to this, he served as the CIO at BIAL, where he led global digital operations for over two decades, driving the company’s transformation into a global life sciences group. His extensive experience spans all areas of the pharmaceutical business, with a strong emphasis on innovation, customer-centricity, and digital channels.
Rui is an active member of various CIO communities, including serving on the advisory board of CIONET, and he has participated in European initiatives on life sciences and digital health projects. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, an Executive MBA from Porto Business School, and a certification in Leading Digital Business Transformation from IMD. Additionally, he is a Certified International Professional Coach and a Certified Scrum Master.
