Biography
Vasco Rosa Dias is a Data Protection Officer (DPO), Lawyer, and Registered Industrial Property Agent. He currently serves as the DPO for two Portuguese research institutes: INESC TEC, specializing in ICT/computer science, and ISPUP, focusing on Public Health. He is also a member of INESC TEC’s Ethics Committee. As a consultant or DPO, he has participated in the privacy governance and ethics boards of several EU or international research projects and is part of the expert group at the European Data Protection Board. In his legal practice, he mainly handles issues related to Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Technology Transfer. His primary research and professional interests lie in EU law, technology regulation, and data protection.
