Biography
Vasco Sousa is an impact-driven entrepreneur, passionate about helping people aim high and bringing their dreams together. Although he holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Coimbra, he has never practiced in that field. Instead, he found himself in business by chance when taking on the challenge of rescuing an insolvent company specializing in technical solutions for professional kitchens. Today, that venture has grown into a 15-year operation with 50 employees and €5 million in annual revenue. A self-proclaimed innovation advocate since 2004, Vasco pursued a Master’s in Innovation and Knowledge Management at the University of Aveiro and co-founded Portugal’s first innovation magazine, as well as the inove6 conferences. In 2015, he co-founded the consulting firm Aliados and has since focused on tackling complex challenges surrounding the future of work (productivity, reskilling, and impact-driven leadership), sustainability, and the circular economy within the food system, particularly in collaboration with groups like SONAE and Trivalor.
