Fernando Freire de Sousa
Born in Porto. Degree in Economics (FEP) and PhD in International Economics (Paris I and UP); Aggregation holder (UTL). Professor at FEP. President of the General Council of the University of Porto. Vice-President of the Casa da Música Foundation and member of the Municipal Economic Council of Porto. Consultant. He was also Director and Director of the BPA Group, Secretary of State for Competitiveness and Internationalization (XIII Constitutional Government), member of the Governing Bodies of companies and institutions and President of the Fund for the Internationalization of Portuguese Companies (FIEP) and of the Coordination and Northern Regional Development (CCDR-N). He is the author of several articles and works. Awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Infante D. Henrique (2006).
