These general terms and conditions shall apply to all those who use, or intend to use, the services provided by the Porto Business School.
By using the services provided by the Porto Business School, you are accepting the prevailing terms and conditions, undertaking to abide by them.
Enroling in training programmes and events at the Porto Business School entails authorisation for the collection of images (photographs and video), within the scope of the activities that are a part of the above-mentioned programmes and events, as well as the potential use thereof for the publicising of future activities of the School.
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, the copyright of any works and projects developed within the scope of the training programmes conducted at the Porto Business School belong to the participant(s) and, when applicable, to the tutor or professor who supervises such works.
Participant(s) undertake to keep confidential all data and other elements explicitly identified as confidential, either from the Porto Business School, its partner entities or third parties, to which they may be privy by virtue of activities related to the programmes of the School. Examples of such data and elements are the final projects developed in companies.
Participant(s) further undertake to use such data solely and exclusively for the purposes and within the scopes in which they were provided.
The Porto Business School may disclose, in digital format, the works produced by participants within the scope of the training programmes it conducts.
Should participants prefer that their works not be disclosed, they must notify the Porto Business School in writing and include the reference “Confidential” in the documents. When no objection is made to such disclosure, it shall be incumbent upon the participants to ensure the dissimulation of any information deemed confidential.
As vacancies are limited, we recommend that applications and enrolments be submitted as soon as possible.
With regard to the Open Executive Programmes, following a request from participants or companies, we may temporarily hold a seat for interested parties. The seat shall be held, at no cost, and must be confirmed at least two weeks prior to the start date of the respective programme.
Postponement or cancellation by the School
The Porto Business School may, under certain circumstances, for educational or operational reasons or due to force majeure, choose to postpone or cancel some of the programmes it offers. In the event of a cancellation, the Porto Business School shall refund the full amounts received for enrolments in the cancelled programme.
Policy on participant-initiated cancellation
Amounts paid for enrolments shall not be refunded.
The Porto Business School must be notified of enrolment cancellations, in writing, at least two weeks prior to the programme start date.
Should the cancellation notice be sent less than two weeks prior to the aforementioned date or in the event of unjustified non-attendance, the enrolment amount will not be refunded.
Under certain circumstances, the Porto Business School may decide to postpone or cancel the programmes it offers. In the event of a cancellation, the Porto Business School shall refund the full amounts received for enrolments in the cancelled programme.
Final admission to programmes at the Porto Business School is subject to approval by the programme Director(s), in order to ensure a suitable level for all participants and, thus, maximise their learning.
The programme fees must be paid prior to the respective start date, according to the payment terms established for each programme. Enrolment shall only be considered effective after the respective payment has been received. All amounts charged for open education – MBAs, Postgraduate Courses and Open Executive Programmes, are exempt from VAT.
No amounts paid shall be refunded, unless the provisions applicable to each programme thus allow.
Companies partnering with and Alumni of the Porto Business School shall be eligible for special prices for the School's training programmes.
Beyond these special prices, the Porto Business School has protocols in place with several external partners, which include the granting of discounts.
With regard to the Open Executive Programmes, enrolments confirmed up to one month prior to their respective start dates shall be eligible for an early bird discount. Moreover, the Porto Business School offers special conditions for companies through business partnerships, or based on the number of participants enrolled in each edition.
Discounts cannot be combined with other discounts.

The Porto Business School reserves the exclusive right to, at any time, amend, add or revoke, partially or totally, these General Terms and Conditions.
It is the participant’s duty to periodically consult the General Terms and Conditions and supplementary documents.
University of Porto's Student Ombudsman
Participants and students of the Porto Business School may, individually or collectively, file complaints with the University of Porto's Student Ombudsman, regarding actions or omissions by the governing bodies, services and agents of the School, as well as submit suggestions.
The Ombudsman, his/her collaborators and any third parties involved shall keep all information they may have been privy to confidential.
