Bruno Silva
Data Engineer and Business Analytics consultant and instructor. He is strongly committed to empowering customers and students with effective analytic and technical skills.
Graduated in Physicist from Instituto Superior Técnico – Universidade de Lisboa, he soon started developing a passion for understanding how things really work. During his early career as a scientist, he used statistical physics models to understand the clustering behavior of colonies of ants and developed simple models to describe the collective behavior of particles inside Nuclear Fusion reactors.
For the last decade he has worked on projects for several international companies as a Business Intelligence consultant. Always passionate about teaching, he is currently responsible for the Business Intelligence classes of the Business Intelligence and Analytics post-graduation at Porto Business School - University of Porto.
In his spare time, he enjoys helping high-school and college students with Mathematics and Physics; cycling with his two kids and wife; spending time with family and friends and reading.
